The SSI Scuba Instructor Training Course (ITC) provides candidates with the knowledge, concepts and training necessary to organize and conduct entry-level scuba training courses. 

The SSI Instructor Training Course at Tramuntana Diving is:

The SSI ITC at Tramuntana Diving is an intensive program where, over the course of 10 or 12 days, candidates will not only learn how to teach dive courses but also how to recognise the individual and group needs of your students and adapt courses to meet their personal progression in order for them to complete their training. Through a combination of academic workshops, confined water sessions and open water dives, candidates will learn the SSI Teaching System and philosophy, and how to effectively teach and evaluate Open Water Diver students.

At the end of this course, and to obtain the SSI Open Water Instructor certification, you must pass an independent evaluation conducted by SSI. Candidates who complete this program and the Instructor Evaluation will earn the SSI Open Water Instructor certification.

Our Instructor Training Course includes:

• Inernationally recognised training. 
• SSI Instructor Training Course (ITC)
• Instructor Certification in First Aid, Oxigen Administration and Automatic Defibrilator Management (React Right).
• Six Specialitity Instructor Certifications: Nitrox, Perfect Bouyancy, Stress and Rescue, Dive Guide, Scuba Rangers and one extra speciality of the candidate's choice.
• All Instructor certification and examination fees (ISO 24802-2).

Pre-requisites for Instructor Training Course (ITC) :

• Be 18 years old.
• Medical certificate not older than 1 year*1.
• Proof of First Aid + CPR + Oxigen administration training within 2 years.
• Have diving insurance*1.
• Have logged at least 75 open water dives.
• Be certified as Enriched Air Nitrox 40% or equivalent*2.
• Hold a Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, Dive Control Specialist or equivalent rating*2.

*1 You can sort this out once you are here, we have a doctor around the corner that can do a medical certificate for you for around 50€ and we offer anual insurance to our students through ScubaMedic for 40€.

*2 Certification must be from a recognized RSTC agency: SSI, PADI, NAUI, SDI-TDI, CMAS, ACUC, PSS. If your certification is not one from the list, or you have any other questions, please contact us and we will help you out.
