Do you want to Discover Scuba Diving for the first time?

Or have you tried it before and now thinking about whether you're prepared to take a course? Then the Basic Diver program is just for you! 

If it's your first time then the Basic Diver program will take you on two dives in which your comfort and discovery of the underwater world will go hand in hand. If you've tried Scuba before then this program will take you a step further. Use these two dives to gain confidence underwater and consider whether you are prepared to take the next step and complete a full course. 

Due to the educational content of this program, once you finish you will receive an internationally recognised digital certification from SSI (ISO 1121). 

This certification will allow you to dive up to 12m depth, anywhere in the world, during the 6 months following your Basic Diver program. It will also give you credit towards the full initiation course of your choice, whether it be the Scuba Diver or the Open Water Diver course. This way, if following the Basic Diver program you feel ready to take the next step, you will not have lost any time or money.

The program consists of two dives that are organised in the following way:

• First dive: 

In the first dive we will concentrate on the dive equipment; how to put it together and dismantle it and how to use it in and under the water. Following this you will learn some basic safety exercises like how to control your buoyancy underwater, as well as how to clear your mask and regulator underwater. During the first dive our goal is to gain confidence and get used to the sensation of breathing underwater. Depending on your comfort and confidence level we will go to a maximum depth of 5m.

• Second dive:

During the second dive we will go and explore one of our dive sites here in the Bay of Pollença and, now that you are prepared to enjoy a dive in a safe and controlled manner, we will be able to go to a maximum depth of 12m! In both cases, you will always be accompanied by a certified and experienced instructor. At Tramuntana Diving we like to be sure that all participants on our programs are 100% comfortable and receive the best attention so we always keep groups to a maximum of 4 students per professional.
